After the JEE Advance, results were announced and based on merit, counselling of students took place and admissions were given. But in 2016 there were so many changes made in the entrance exam that it became so messy for students as well as parents to handle it. The students had to first sit for JEE mains (IIT coaching center in dehradun) and then second exam was to be conducted for cut off pass students. However, due to government changing decisions, the second paper all students were allowed to sit and based on it admissions were given. Each time there was different decision by court and it screwed up the lives of students who wished to take admissions. Going by these confusions, finally there was an end to it by the decision of court to have only one entrance exam JEE Mains every year for engineering admissions top JEE coaching academy in dehradun.
Also, the weightage of 12th Board marks has also been decreased in the new JEE 2017 pattern. The Online application form had Aadhar Card compulsory to fill in the forms. There would be two papers in JEE exam, Paper-1 for students wanting to have a B. tech Degree and Paper-2 for Architecture and Planning score getting B.Arch degree. Both the papers will have three sections for 3 hours. Paper 1 can be given online and offline while Paper-2 is only in Offline i.e. Pen and Paper based.
